I bet that I got you all confused with that title, hey.
"But how am I meant to PRE poo?!" you may ask. Well lucky for you I am talking about SHAMpooing (as in your hair), not the other one.

We've all heard about how shampoo strips your hair of its natural oils and that conditioner is essential in replacing the moisture that is lost by shampooing, in order for you to get soft, shiny hair. So, the other day I started thinking... If shampoo strips your hair of oils why not add more oil into your hair before shampooing to reduce the amount it strips? Turns out I was not the first person to think of this and it has actually been shared about on the TV show, "The Doctors" (you can watch their segment on it here).

So, of course, I tried it before I posted about it and... my hair is actually softer.

Aminta followed me EVERYWHERE while I had it in my hair so I decided to take a selfie with her - this is the best photo I could get of us that wasn't of her trying to lick my hair. As you can see, I only put it on my scalp, but you can put it through all your hair if you wish

My pre-poo recipe:

1 tbsp coconut butter
1/4 of an avocado
1 tbsp honey

- Add all ingredients together and stir/mash till they are combined. I stirred mine while holding it above the stove (I happened to be boiling an egg at the time) as the coconut butter needs a little warmth to melt.
- Part hair into multiple sections, spooning a bit of the mixture along the parts.
- Massage into scalp and leave for 5-10 minutes. *Don't leave it on for too long as coconut butter hardens
- Shampoo and condition as normal.

May I pleeeeease lick the bowel, Lissy?
