2016 New Year Resolutions

Happy New Year!
I hope your new years eve was everything you hoped it to be. Mine was nice and quiet and I don't think I even made it till 12, but I do know that I was pretty close!

I don't normally make new year's resolutions, I don't know why, just never did. But this year I have a few little things that I'd like to accomplish, so why not?

1. Stop using plastic bags
Just Google "the dangers of plastic bags" and you will find heaps of info so I'm not going to go into it here, but I am sure you know of some of the environmental effects plastic bags can have.
I have had the re-usable calico ags for ages, years even, but whenever I head out to do my food shopping I ALWAYS forget them so this year I am going to try make a concentrated effort to bring them with me so I don't have to use the plastic ones and then have an ever-growing pile of plastic bags at the bottom of my pantry.

2. Get a dining table
We have been married for almost 2 years now and are still using our tiny little Ikea table and chairs that we intended to use under our alfresco. It does the trick but get pretty snug as soon as we have someone over for dinner. And of course there's the 'I want our home to look good' factor. I will most definitely be looking to Niki at My Scandinavian Home for inspiration.

3. Only use natural cleaning products
Common house-hold cleaners are filled with chemicals that can irritate our skin and lungs, as well as our environment as they get flushed down the toilet/drain.
I am almost there in using natural products all throughout our house, just have the toilet air freshener, dish-washing liquid, and laundry powder to go (I am just waiting for my current ones to run out before I replenish them with a safer, more sustainable option)

Are you even meant to have more than one resolution?
I'd love to hear what your 2016 New Year's Resolutions are!
